I started this painting several weeks ago. It has undergone many changes as have I since it’s beginning. I often listen to female choral music as can be heard in this video while I paint. I watch intently what is happening to the various mediums as I work with them. In this particular instance I am watching a high gloss medium interact with colors and shapes below while also watching a sprayed red ink layer interact with the gloss medium.
I pay special attention to following as I work:
- Evaporation rate
- Diffusion
- Granulation
- Precipitation
- Saturation
- Flow
- Disintegration
I am in love with the material of paint.
